The average commuter emits nearly 4.6 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide into the environment each year.
For every 20 new villagers, the average annual carbon offset is 92 metric tonnes.
It's more then just carbon offsetting.
This carbon offset project goes beyond reducing emissions and protecting the environment. It provides a host of benefits, such as improving livelihoods, stimulating local development and contributing to a number of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
For every New Village worker, a further 2.5 service jobs are created.
