Topolovo (Plovdiv , Bulgaria)

The village of Topolovo is located at the northern foothills of the Rhodope mountains. Only 36 km away from Bulgaria’s second biggest city of Plovdiv and just 15 km to the town of Asenovgrad makes it a great place which combines the calm village lifestyle with the commodities of civilization.

With its 25 hundred residents and all services provided for a living, Topolovo stands out on the local map and is one of the few preserved villages in Bulgaria.

The local people are friendly and open to newcomers, willing to share advice and help anyone who appreciates their home place and wants to stay. A small community of remote workers is already thriving in the village and confirms its potential to grow in near future. The 4G and fibre cable internet connection is one of the fastest in Europe allowing large data transfers and remote work.  All needed living infrastructure is there (see the list) and if something special is needed, the town is only 15 min. away.  

Housing costs vary depending on the condition, starting from about 20000 euros for an older one and going up to about 75000 for a newly built and furnished one. Several construction brigades in the village could be hired to renovate a house or build a brand-new one. Another 10 or more construction companies in the near town of Asenovgrad are also available for new construction projects. Quiet streets and well-maintained kindergarten and primary schools offer a safe environment for kids. Surrounded by the beautiful nature of Chervenata Stena, a biosphere park part of the Unesco natural heritage list makes Topolovo a great base for all sorts of outdoor sports and activities like, hiking, camping, bird watching, horse riding, fishing, hunting etc. The area is rich in historical sites and artefacts from the times of Tracians and Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans and of course from 1300 years old Bulgarian state.
